IMA Financial Group is an integrated financial services company specializing in insurance and wealth management solutions. With 2,500 associates across 43 locations, they manage more than $8 billion in premiums annually.
IMA engaged with Gardner Design to rethink and rebuild their corporate website from the ground up. The main objectives were to modernize the aesthetic and maximize the efforts of their marketing team.
Planning
Two of the first things to plan for the website were its content architecture and page wireframes. These skeletal wireframes allowed the team to have productive discussions on the flow, functionalities, and aesthetic of the website’s key pages before going into the design phase.
Website Design
The website’s theme is built specifically for the brand’s visuals—colors, fonts, patterns, shapes. Content managers create pages from predefined blocks, avoiding time spent trying to think like a designer. Each component of the website is purposed with consistent layout and spacing dynamics that flex to any screen size.
Custom Icon Set
The custom-designed icon set for IMA’s brand imbues personality throughout their materials. Each icon is usable in multiple weights and made to be legible at small sizes. With 100+ different icons, the full set equips IMA’s marketing team with own-able, recognizable graphics to use on their website, presentations, reports, and other branded and sub-branded materials.
Job Board
The fully-featured job board on IMA’s website saves time for the recruitment team and applicants alike.
Though an entirely separate database holds the information about jobs, from the website, it’s one seamless user experience. There’s zero duplicate effort for the recruitment team as they create, edit, and remove jobs. Applicants can quickly search for open positions, filter by location, and submit their resume right on imacorp.com.
