Castle Wood Reserve
Cargill Inc. is the world’s largest private company and its Meat Solutions arm is one of the largest meat providers in North America. Cargill needed a name, identity and packaging for a new line of high-end deli meats sold in Sam’s Club stores. The challenge was to create a design that would represent the product’s quality, set it off from other brands, and help move the product out of a lunch-only pigeon hole. We developed an Old World aesthetic and exploited its connection to pride and craftsmanship in the food industry to deliver the feeling that the product is tried and true. Castle Wood Reserve quickly became the best selling proprietary brand in the food category at Sam’s Club stores.
